Result of the Prize Competition for Early Starters

I offered a £15 book token for the best picture generating program using no more than the skills learnt in Chapter 1 sent in by January 10th 2004. The winner was Emma Rickmann (aged nine) for her picture of her Dad (I am not sure what he will think of the representation). As a matter of policy I do not publish contact details for children. Despite the small entry I think Emma's effort is excellent.

Result of Spring Prize Competition

The prize went to James Hilbert because his program actually notes a couple of places for experimentation even if the Modern Art is almost as bad as mine. He is also older than me and we should respect the wisdom that comes with age.

No More Competitions

As no one entered the last one, I assume that readers do not want to win prizes. Please do not let that deter you from sending in your art for display here.

The Gallery

All the images on this page have been created using skills gained from the book. The thumbnails are in jpeg format; the full images are in PNG format so that they are compatible with the requirements of the Playpen window provided by my library. Click on any image to view full sized (512 x 512) image which will load in a new browser window.

You will be able to download the code by clicking on link beneath the image.
