Meggie's Page

Welcome to the Home Page of Meggie! This page has been created with a little help from my Daddy. The idea is to ensure that all my friends and family know how I am getting on.

I was born just over a year ago and I was a little bit early. It was all a bit of traumatic time for my Mummy and Daddy but I really didn't know what was going on. I spent six weeks in SCBU at Warwick Hospital and all of the nurses and doctors were very nice to me.

As well as turning up early, I was born with a condition known as Arthrogryposis which means that my arms and legs don't work as well as they might do but I can still wiggle a lot!! I am learning to talk but the words don't come quite right yet but Daddy is convinced that I can say 'Dada'.

My Mummy and Daddy are totally hat-stand (I'm not sure what that means but I'm fairly certain it describes them) but they are the bestest and they love me very much. I have lots of cuddly toys but my favourite thing is my little frog which I can bash with my feet and it makes a funny noise.

I also love my cuddly caterpillar which Mummy got for me from an NCT sale. He's known as Captain Caterpillar and he wiggles nearly as much as me and he always makes me laugh!

My best friend is Piglet who has been with me since the beginning and where-ever Piglet is, that's my home. Last thing at night, I like to look at Piglet and make sure that he is looking over me.

I like watching the football with my Dad which is good as the World Cup is on at the moment. I have to remind my Dad not to cheer too loudly as that can be a bit scarey as I'm only little. And he has to remember not to swear too much when he gets excited!
